Dr. Steven J. Holtz

Steven J. Holtz, M.D. graduated from Boston University in 1972 cum laude and received his medical doctorate from the Boston University School of Medicine in 1974. After finishing an internal medicine internship and one year of residency at the Kaiser Foundation Hospital in Oakland, California, Dr. Holtz returned to Boston for specialty training in neurology.
In 1979 Dr. Holtz moved back to the Bay Area and with J.B. Drori, M.D. founded the Neurology Medical Group of Diablo Valley.
Dr. Holtz is also Associate Clinic Professor of Neurology at the University of California, San Francisco, where he has taught for over 23 years. Dr. Holtz has been elected President of the Association of Clinical Faculty at UCSF for 2005. He also teaches at the University of California, Berkeley and has taught at the Samuel Merritt College in Oakland, CA.
Dr. Holtz has lectured extensively on a number of neurological subjects throughout the country for over 18 years. He has been the course director for the program, “The Neurologist as an Expert Witness” at the yearly meetings of the American Academy of Neurology between 1998 and 2002.
