Dr. Ray Stephens
Dr. Ray Stephens is originally from the San Francisco Bay area and completed college at University of California, Berkeley with an AB in Physiology with Honors in 1974. He subsequently completed medical school at University of California, San Diego in 1978. He completed a medical internship at University of Michigan in Ann Arbor in 1979. His Neurology residency was completed at University of California, San Diego in 1982. He has remained in private practice with Neurology Medical Group of Diablo Valley since 1982. He has received Board Certifications as below:
American Board of Electrodiagnostic Medicine - EMG & Neuromuscular Disease 1986
American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology - Neurology 1984
American Board of Qualifications in Electroencephalography - EEG 1982
He maintains membership in the American Academy of Neurology, and the American Association of Electrodiagnostic Medicine. He is currently co-director of the Stroke Program at the John Muir-Mt. Diablo Health System Neurosciences Institute and maintains a special interest in stroke and vascular disease. He is the Director of Clinical Research for Neurology Medical Group of Diablo Valley.
